Microsoft are saying that their Internet Explorer 7 browser has been downloaded three million times in the first four days. Early next month, customers will begin receiving IE7 automatically. Installation will be optional.

Microsoft have also temporarily put the release of Windows Media Player 11 on hold, citing quality concerns. According to several Windows enthusiast sites such as Neowin, the company pushed back its target date from Tuesday, 24th October to Monday, 30th October.

I have IE7 and it is allot better than 6 but Firefox is my browser of choice.. There is just so many features packed into FF, it's hard to leave once you get hooked.

i disagree with betun....i truely dont think that IE will ever come close to FF, i believe FF is jsut more user friendly from the start, and isnt trying to overwelm you by changing the layout and trying to make it more compact when really its just confusing teh user (based off of my experience with IE7)
